Course Description:
This is a high-level dialectic, project-based course designed to introduce the role of self-leadership to enable students to pursue their career goals. We will cover national programs and internships that promote leadership and help refine the student’s career interests. This class will help high school students explore their options, inspiring them to conduct self-analysis, match abilities to interests, rebound from setbacks and prepare for the real world of work. The class will include, but not be limited to speaking skills, interviewing skills, resume workshop, note taking skills, leadership awareness, personal goal setting and career-focused internship searches.
