Course FAQs:

What is Adobe Illustrator?

Basically, Illustrator is a vector based graphics design program. The two videos linked below do a good job of explaining what Adobe Illustrator is, and the primary difference between Photoshop and Illustrator.

Adobe Illustrator software. Wait to get it until the orientation for class because Adobe has some great homeschool discounts compared to what you would pay at a store. The whole Creative Cloud (10 to 20 professional level tools) can be gotten for 19.99 a month with the student discount they have.

8th grade and up

Days: Wednesdays
Session time:
9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. CT
Start Date: Sept 10
2 semester course

We will be creating designs from photos, clip art, original artwork, or other formats that help students learn to use the tools in Illustrator. This course will be project-based. Students will have small projects to turn in regularly. In order to learn to use the Illustrator software, students need to spend some time working with the tools. I will teach students to find their way around in Illustrator, and I will demonstrate the use of many of the tools in class.
